Paco Rabanne Fragrances

Paco Rabanne was born Paco Rabaneda-Cuervo in San Sebastian, Spain in 1934. At the age of seven he had his first supernatural experience and this was to influence him for the rest of his life. He studied architecture at the Exole des Beaux-Arts in Paris, where his family had moved as political refugees. By 1960, Paco was supporting himself by selling sketches of fashion to Roger Model, Courreges, Cardin, Balenciaga, Charles Jordan and Givenchy. His first fashion collection, featuring futuristic designs made of plastic and metal, appeared in 1966, and Paco Rabanne was created. Rabanne subsequently became known for his chain mail mini dresses, disposable paper clothing and the like. Paco Rabanne's first fragrance appeared in 1973, Paco Rabanne Pour Homme. Paco is a master artist and his perfumes and colognes are examples of the attention to modernism and quality. The Paco Rabanne fashion and fragrance business are owned by Puig.
